book by Erika Lust
X FOR WOMEN An independent woman’s guide through the sticky world of adult movies is aimed at an ever-growing market; intelligent and independent women who would love to see some good erotic or explicit cinema but can´t find it.
The author of the book, Erika Lust, is a critically acclaimed director of erotica for women, who has written and directed awarded films like FIVE HOT STORIES FOR HER and BARCELONA SEX PROJECT.
In this book, Erika will guide the reader through the complex universe of adult film, they will see how they can dare to delve into this controversial genre and get a closer look without ever losing their critical feminine eye. Erika says “We can and must be able to enjoy ourselves without feeling offended. I will take you through the history of the genre, how men’s sexuality and values have been imposed, new feminine and feminist adult movies, recommended films and where to find them, special online shops for women, how to watch explicit films at home, which sub-genres could be more appealing and more.”
The book will be launched in the UK and Spain in September 2008 (English and Spanish editions). It’s a 160 page hard back book, designed by Barcelona’s well known M STUDIO.
