I’m happy to announce that my new book Erotic Bible to Europe will be released in September in six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch and Italian.

It’s a guide to the best erotic places in Europe, from elegant boutiques to love hotels, festivals and cabarets. I tried to talk about the places that I love most, places that left me a great memory, places that made me say “wow, this is amazing…”.

There are lots of nice pictures and all the information so you can go on a sexy trip around the old continent.

The virtual version of the book, www.eroticbibletoeurope.com, is already online. This is basically a map of all the places featured on the book and more! You can discover, comment and rate them and you can also add your favourite erotic place. Of course I don’t know all the good places that’s why I hope you can suggest the boutiques or events you like best. You can get more information about the online map on its facebook page.

I ask the question but I already know the answer.

I’ve been following for a while on the web and social networks the whole John Stagliano trial story and I have to say I have trouble realizing they could lock someone up for making porn movies.

“Hardcore porn”, “bondage”, “multiple penetration”… some people like it, others don’t, but how is it possible that old right-wing men decide it for us? Or anyone else in fact!

Porn has been here for a long time, and a decision of the court is not going to change anything.

They say it hurts values like family, morals… but some people get mixed up from the ruling of oppressive ways of thinking and get confused about sex: sexuality is inherent to human beings and we have the absolute right to enjoy it in any way we want. Sexuality is not rape, it’s not violence, it’s not abuse. It’s freedom of expression, freedom not to be ashamed and trapped into a censured world. There’s nothing to be afraid of and I’m so sad to see that in the 21st century some people still can’t evolve.

So if people fight against porn, they also fight against the emancipation of women and their right to have a sexuality. Should I deny my sexuality and be ashamed of it because prejudiced men told me to centuries ago?

I personally prefer porn for women like I try to do but we all have the right to enjoy what we want, as long as we don’t hurt other people’s freedom.

There is bad porn, good porn, but at least we all should have the right to make it, watch it, enjoy it and make it better if we want to.

So I fully support John Stagliano and I hope the judges will make the right decision.

I recently found out that the French water Perrier teamed up with pin-up Dita Von Teese for their new campaign.

They made a video and an interactive website where you can “play” and ask the model to do stuff. You will then follow Dita around the house and play games with her. If you succeed you will be able to take a polaroid photo of her.

It’s pretty sexy and sensual, and it’s also nice to see brands can have style and dare try new things.

As I told you last month, I recently took part in the Hotel Camper’s project with 5 other films directors.

We all had to make a short movie at the hotel in Barcelona, and I chose to make: Love Hotel, with the same characters as my previous film called Handcuffs.

This was a great and intense experience and you will soon be able to watch it online.

If you’ve ever thought about writing a movie script for a Hollywood movie, you should know that there’s a huge unexplored theme:… women! In this video, posted at the great blog Feminist Frequency, you can have a look at the big number of movies that do not pass this simple test suggested by the comic artist Allison Bechdel in 1985. Next time you watch a movie ask yourself: 1. are there two or more women in it who have names? 2. Do they talk to each other? 3. Do they talk to each other about something other then a man? You will be shocked!

It’s been 18 years now since the edition of the controversial book ‘SEX’, by Madonna. Here you can have a look at the whole book, a true revolution in the field of erotic photography. It was the first time that a star like Madonna did such explicit stuff and it became a bestseller in a few days. Today a reprint is almost impossible but it’s not difficult to get on the Internet. In this book, Madonna – or Dita- shares explicit letters, intimate memories and hot pictures with celebrities like Isabella Rossellini or Naomi Campbell.

Since the arrival of Apple’s iPad, there’s been a really interesting discussion going on about how Apple  is not allowing adult content apps on their new beloved tablet. This video came out from the intiative Freedom from Porn and it shows a guerrilla action demanding for the true freedom of access to any contents. Any company should not be able to decide on whether we should or shouldn’t watch, by hoarding the technology, speacilly considering that we can always set up parental control in any computer or tablet. Who’s going to decide, then, what is porn and what isn’t? (And, by the way, why there’s not such concern with violent content?) This post in Gawker talks about it and there’s a comment I totally agree with: :  “paul verlaine, guillaume apollinaire, jean genet, henry miller, claude cahun, jack smith, andy warhol, william burroughs, allen ginsberg, bernardo bertolucci, robert mapplethorpe, jeff koons, are just a few of the artists whose work has been deemed pornographic and sometimes destroyed by the Powers That Be… What kind of “right” freedom does Jobs have in mind? Ahmadinejad’s?”

The amazing artist Ellen Von Unwerth -I’ve already told you about her work- has just done this great photo shooting at the Crazy Horse in Paris, one of the most remarkable cabaret shows in the city. This is also one of the recommended hot spots in my upcoming book, The Erotic Bible to Europe.
